Every time you watch a movie, the story tends to remain to stay in your mind, even if it’s hard for another half an hour. But for a movie or a series that you watch and come to think of it as a life lesson or a lesson to be learned- the movie is nothing less than inspirational for you. Speaking of, which was the last movie you watched? Did the female lead play a major role? Did her character get you to think of being the best at what you’re good at? Movies starring female leads in a Leadership role is not just about glamour, but about those women entrepreneurs who figured how to succeed defying the odds. So, if you are looking for a daily dose of inspiration to step up towards your goal of being a woman entrepreneur, here are a few movies you must watch.

The Intern

Anna Hathaway plays the role of a CEO who builds her Brooklyn-based E-commerce start-up from her own kitchen to a company with 200 employees. The intern talked about, Robert DeNiro, who is old-school but brings a lot of rich experience to the table.

Piku

The sweet and sour relationship between a father and daughter remains constant as the father, played by Amitabh Bachchan, believes that a girl can easily be independent and strong, and doesn’t need marriage for her identity. The daughter, Deepika Padukone, is an architect by profession who’s co-founded a firm and struggles between her work and Father’s imaginary health insecurities.

The Devil wears Prada

Meryl Streep, the “devil”, has unarguably made Miranda Priestly one of the most unforgettable characters in the history of film. She is arrogant, shrewd, and doesn’t mind a constant display of her power as the Editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. The movie portrays the difficulties and struggles a woman has to go through even when she is at the top.

Panga

Kangana Ranaut plays a homemaker who loves her family and dedicates her life to looking after the husband and son, until the six YO son insists on bringing back her passion of playing Kabaddi, back in her life. Once a champion of the game, the movie shows the struggle of going back to following a dream from a long sabbatical, even though she holds the crown of a national-level player.

Shakuntala Devi

One amongst the most-talked-about movies of the year 2020, Vidya Balan plays the late Shakuntala Devi, referred to as the Human-Computer. While the movie releases on July 31st, the trailer definitely leaves an inspiring feeling on the viewer. Don’t forget to catch it streaming live, right from your homes on Amazon Prime Video.

Each movie listed here has something to show about the loss and victory of a woman in some way or the other. Let us know about your experience of watching these movies.
